Sr. Data Analyst

Job description

Big Picture: We're releasing a wave of new data products in our analytics platform. We need someone who can build the math behind our metrics, make it production-ready, and ship it in Looker so customers see clean, trustworthy numbers. This person owns the statistics behind our platform and turns them into repeatable, scalable systems.

Job Title: Senior Data Analyst

Location - Remote or close to one of our offices (NYC, Chicago, Atlanta)

Company Overview:
Recruitics is a market-leading technology company transforming how organizations attract and convert talent. Through innovative, data-driven solutions, we empower employers to optimize their recruitment strategies and achieve hiring success. As leaders in recruitment marketing, we continually evolve our software products to meet the dynamic needs of the talent marketplace.

Position Overview:
We're looking for a Senior Data Analyst who can create new metrics, models, and statistical methods - then productionalize them in our Looker-based analytics product. You'll work with labor market data, advertising data, and our own proprietary dataset to improve how clients attract talent. The work you do becomes the foundation of what they see in our platform.

If you're strong in SQL, Looker, and building scalable data products - and you like seeing your work actually ship - you're a match.

This is an ideal role for a data expert with deep Looker experience who is passionate about using data to drive impactful data products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build client-facing metrics using labor market, job marketplace, and brand data.
  • Own all stages of the data products-cleaning data, building analytics, developing Looker dashboards, releasing data into production, and monitoring health.
  • Correlate client data with external market conditions to explain why certain jobs succeed or struggle.
  • Design and implement statistical models to inform business decisions.
  • Turn those metrics into production models (SQL, LookML, and pipelines) that run every day without breaking.
  • Partner with product, data science and engineering to define key metrics and shape strategy.
  • Collaborate with engineering to make sure your logic is correctly implemented in Looker and downstream analytics.
  • Document your logic clearly so engineering can productionalize it without question marks and clients can understand it.
  • Build and maintain data quality checks so bad data doesn't poison our metrics.
  • Provide data-driven insights to product managers, marketing, and engineering teams, enabling them to make informed decisions to optimize both the job marketplace and the user experience.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity by working with engineering and BI teams to maintain the quality of data pipelines.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Computer Science , or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in data analytics or business intelligence, with strong proficiency in Looker , SQL, and Python/R.
  • Prefer experience in dbt, and snowflake.
  • Strong Looker experience: LookML, modeling layers, dashboards, and optimizing for scale.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and experience working with large datasets.
  • Ability to distill large amounts of data into actionable insights.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to connect disparate datasets into clear correlations .
  • Experience building complex statistical models with Python or R.
  • Able to explain complex ideas into clear, simple language .
  • Forward-looking mindset - you're always thinking about what should be measured next.

Why Join Us?
You'll shape the core analytics that power our entire platform. The metrics you build will drive customer conversations, and marketplace strategy. We offer strong benefits - medical, dental, vision, paid time off, parental leave, and 401(k).
