We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior DevSecOps Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between development, security, and operations to ensure the security of our software through the secure development lifecycle. You will be responsible for integrating security practices throughout the DevOps lifecycle, building and maintaining secure systems, and automating security processes to enhance our cloud infrastructure and applications. Key Responsibilities Secure Architecture:  Under the guidance of the VP of Information Security, maintain a secure cloud architecture and evangelize security best practices within the enterprise that comply with our SOC II policies and procedures. DevSecOps Integration: Collaborate closely with Development, Operations, and Security teams to integrate security practices into the development lifecycle and DevOps processes. Vulnerability Management: Conduct vulnerability assessments, security testing, and advise teams on remediation. Cloud Security: Oversee and enhance the security posture of cloud-based infrastructure (AWS), ensuring secure deployments and configurations. Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure that security controls are aligned with industry standards and best practices (e.g., OWASP, NIST, GDPR) and work toward achieving and maintaining compliance. Incident Response: Be the technical point of contact on security incidents, providing expertise in root cause analysis and remediation. Monitoring & Auditing: Implement monitoring tools to detect and respond to security incidents and audit the security of systems and applications. Security Training & Awareness: Provide guidance and training to other teams on security best practices, secure coding techniques, and threat mitigation strategies. Tooling & Infrastructure: Select, deploy, and manage security tools and frameworks for automated security testing, vulnerability scanning, and threat detection.   About You Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of experience in DevOps, Security, or related roles, with at least 2-3 years focused on DevSecOps. Proven experience working with CI/CD pipelines, containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (AWS). Hands-on experience with security tools such as SonarQube, Crowdstrike, mimecast, and tenable. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible. Expertise in automation scripting (Python, Bash, or similar languages). Experience with version control systems (Git, GitLab, Bitbucket). Familiarity with security protocols and standards (OAuth, SSL/TLS, PKI). Strong knowledge of network security, firewalls, identity and access management (IAM), and encryption technologies. Experience with vulnerability scanning tools and static/dynamic analysis. Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams. A proactive and continuous improvement mindset. Preferred Qualifications: Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or other relevant certifications. Experience with threat modeling and risk assessments. Familiarity with security frameworks and methodologies (e.g., NIST, OWASP Top 10, SOC 2). Knowledge of security in microservices architecture. This isn’t a plug-and-play job. You’ll architect the core services that enable seamless interoperability for our analytics and automation platforms—Vision and AI Analyst—while mentoring engineers and ensuring high standards across the stack. If you’re excited by deep system design, API architecture, and leading development for client-facing integrations at scale, this is your seat at the table. Key Responsibilities  Technical Leadership: Own the technical strategy and execution for all integration services, setting direction on architecture, design patterns, and scalability. Full Stack Ownership: Lead backend service development in Java/Kotlin + Spring Boot, while guiding and contributing to key frontend components built with React. Systems Integration: Design and implement APIs and microservices that integrate with external ATS and HR systems, ensuring secure, scalable data flow. Mentorship & Collaboration: Mentor engineers across the team, foster a culture of quality and ownership, and collaborate with Product, DevOps, and client-facing teams. Infrastructure & DevOps: Drive deployment excellence in Kubernetes environments, working closely with our platform team to ensure high availability and automation. Data Strategy: Oversee integration with both NoSQL (MongoDB) and relational databases, ensuring the right storage decisions are made at the right scale. Observability & Performance: Champion monitoring, logging, and tracing strategies to ensure system visibility and performance across services. Innovation: Identify new tools, frameworks, and methods to improve how we integrate, scale, and operate, especially around automation and client onboarding. Minimum Qualifications 8+ years of experience in full stack or backend software engineering, with 2+ years in a technical leadership or staff/lead role. Expert-level proficiency in Java or Kotlin, with hands-on experience in Spring Boot and distributed systems. Strong frontend understanding and ability to contribute to React applications where needed. Extensive experience designing and integrating with RESTful APIs, ideally involving third-party platforms like ATS, HRIS, or payroll systems. Strong experience with Kubernetes in production environments. Solid experience with MongoDB and relational DBs (Postgres/MySQL). Proven success leading engineering efforts with cross-functional impact. Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate between technical and non-technical teams. Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience. Nice to Have   Experience with Apache Airflow or other data orchestration tools. Prior work in HR tech or recruitment platforms. Knowledge of data security and compliance standards related to candidate/employer data.
