Talivity is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Director f Finance and Accounting to lead its financial operations and drive its financial strategy. The Director, Finance and Accounting will be essential in shaping the company's financial future, ensuring robust financial health, and supporting our growth objectives. This position reports directly to the CFO and is a key executive leadership team member.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounting and Finance Operational Execution and Oversight: Oversee and ensure execution of all accounting tasks including client billing and collections, vendor billing and payments, month end reconciliations, expense management and processing.
  • Monthly Financial Reporting: Prepare and present monthly Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, and Burn Rate reports to provide clear visibility into financial performance
  • Reporting & Compliance: Ensure accuracy in financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and uphold strong internal controls
  • Financial Planning & Analysis: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to inform decision-making and strategic initiatives
  • Financial Strategy: Develop and execute the financial strategy to support the company's growth, product development, and profitability goals
  • Board and Investor Reporting: Manage financial reporting to the Board and investors, delivering updates and insights on company performance and projections
  • Treasury Management: Direct treasury functions to optimize cash flow, investment, and financial performance
  • Team Leadership: Lead and eventually develop the finance team, promoting a culture of the highest level of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, auditors, and regulatory bodies
  • Risk Management: Identify and manage financial risks to protect company assets, mitigate exposure, and support long-term resilience

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in a financial or accounting leadership role, preferably with a start up or growth-minded company.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards, and compliance requirements
  • Proven working experience with Netsuite
  • Exceptional analytical skills with a strategic mindset and the ability to drive financial performance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Demonstrated success in high-growth environments

Additional Expertise (Preferred)

  • Data-Driven Insights: Implement data-driven insights and predictive analytics to guide business performance and growth. Collaborate with the Product and Operations teams to integrate financial insights
  • Change Management and Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead through change, building adaptable processes in dynamic, high-growth environments
  • Strategic Partnerships and Alliances: Collaborate with the President and executive team to explore strategic partnerships, joint ventures, or M&A opportunities and assess the financial impact of new ventures
  • Fundraising and Capital Allocation: Ability to contribute to future fundraising initiatives, support relationship management with investors, and develop capital allocation strategies aligned with growth and financial objectives
