Payroll and Benefits Manager

This position will report to the Chief Financial Officer and will calculate payroll and process benefits for all US based employees. 

Job Duties:

Payroll:

  • Manage relationship with ADP, ensuring proper payroll set up and systems support 
  • Update ADP Workforce Now with new hires, terminations, banking information, tax setups, benefit deductions, garnishments, and adjustments
  • Review timecards and import into ADP, process along with salary employees pay on a semi-monthly basis.
  • Create and deliver reports using ADP Reporting, Microsoft Excel, and internal systems.
  • Identify and process payroll corrections, adjustments, and ACH calculations.

Benefits:

  • Manage relationship with benefits providers and brokers, and oversee annual benefits renewal process
  • Respond to employee payroll & benefit inquiries. 
  • Reconciliation of medical, dental, life and vision benefit bills.
  • Benefit terminations and COBRA enrollments.
    • Benefits open enrollment / negotiations (part of)
    • Manage payroll & benefits vendors
    • Troubleshoot / QA
    • Report out to key stakeholders
    • Ad Hoc Projects in the payroll / benefits space
    • Manage payroll vendor for tax filing and reporting

Additional duties:

  • Process employment verifications and respond to unemployment inquiries.
  • Provide quality customer service for employee issues.
  • Ensure accurate tax coding and filing through ADP
  • Manage or participate in related projects and initiatives as needed

Job Requirements:

  • 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in a similar role
  • ADP (or similar payroll system) experience required
  • Strong attention to detail/accuracy
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good working knowledge of Excel
  • Ability to work and problem solve independently
  • Excellent prioritization and multitasking skills

Compensation:

  • Base salary range depending on experience and location: $78,000 - $118,000
  • Eligible for annual bonus based on performance.
